How Tweets Can Hurt You - Protect Your Reputation

Don't be like the Fed Ex PR rep who got canned for his negative comments about Fed Ex's home state. Twitter marketing needs to be strategic and stop talking about what you had for breakfast!

  • Search for target markets (fellow tweeters) that tie in with your niche/industry. Why do you want to follow health nuts if you run a construction company? That doesn't make sense. Target your specific industry and people who would need your services and products.
  • Stop tweeting about your cousin's sister's baby. Save that for your personal Twitter account. Business is business and keep your tweets professional and stick to the point.
  • Don't sound like a spammer - you'll get instantly banned!
  • Give away a freebie or run a contest and ALWAYS link back to your company websites and blogs!
  • Re-tweet posts that hit your message and that would interest your followers.
  • Use humor sparingly (if it fits your followers, then go for it but don't use it all the time)
  • Don't add JUST anyone - be picky about who you allow to follow you
Remember don't post anything on your Twitter that you don't want your spouse or mother to read!

Add up the Bling with Sponsored Tweets

Sponsored Tweets is a great advertising platform that connects advertisers with tweeters. It's easy to sign up (no cost). However, your Twitter accounts need to be 4 months old with at least 200 followers.

It's another win-win situation for both tweeters and advertisers. Advertisers create dynamic sponsored conversations and as tweeters, you earn money for spreading the word about their products and services - pretty simple! You are sent ads that match your Twitter accounts' niche(s)/industry (you can choose either to have approvals sent via your email or direct message on your Twitter accounts).

Also, there is 100% disclosure and only ethical sponsored tweets are blasted out. Another great site by IZEA - a leader in social media marketing.

Check it out and start adding a few more pennies in your pockets. I highly recommend signing up for this site.

Happy Tweeting!!

Be a Magpie - Pay Per Post Twitter Marketing

Be A Magpie is another lucrative money maker when it comes to Twitter. Magpie claims it's the largest Twitter advertising network. The idea is to generate a buzz around your brand and get people talking about your products and services - not a new concept when it comes to SMM (social media marketing), but this site proves its worth. They match up key messaging with your brand and sphere of influence - they help you get more bang for your tweeting buck. It's a win-win situation.

Both advertisers and Tweeters alike will benefit from the power of this Twitter advertising site. The site is free - you just need an active Twitter account to sign up.

Check it out and start Tweeting for profit today!!

How To Earn Cash withTwitter

There are a lot of affiliate sites out there that are vying for your attention but you have to know where to look and what will give you the best ROI.

I have been paid $ 200-500 per tweet and have large brand advertisers like Blockbuster and even large search engines (which I cant disclose per contract) which have paid me up to $ 280 per tweet for up to 4 tweets a day spaced out every 4 hours ($ 1120.00/day). There are many sites that can help you make that kind of cash like I did.

A site to check out is Revtwt.com

If you want to take the hassle out of Twitter marketing, this is where it's at:

  • Pay-per-click (PPC)
  • Publishers are paid for each ad posted based on the number of followers they have

The trick is that followers don’t need to click on the ads. Another bonus with these Twitter-based affiliates is you can place your ads anywhere – social media sites, blogs, email signatures, etc. Publishers are paid based on traffic and hopefully, users will click on ads and purchase products/services (the key to affiliate marketing!)

More or less, they are ads that can be placed anywhere, (Twitter, websites, blogs, forum signatures, email signatures, etc.) and you get paid based on the traffic driven or the actions the users take after they click on the ads.

In my next updates, I'll talk about other hot Twitter monetization sites such as Be a Magpie and Tweet Roi. Stay tuned, Tweeters!!
